Gorillaz, the world’s most successful virtual band, will embark on a 22-date North American tour this fall, marking their first extensive run in the U.S. and Canada since 2022. The trek begins Sept. 17 in Orlando, Florida, and concludes with a Halloween night performance in Seattle, Washington.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour coincides with the release of the band’s latest album, The Mountain, which dropped Feb. 27 on the independent KONG label. The album features collaborations with Sparks, Trueno, Proof, IDLES, Omar Souleyman, Yasiin Bey, Bizarrap, Kara Jackson, Anoushka Shankar, and Tony Allen.
Gorillaz co-creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett will bring the band’s virtual characters—2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs—to life on stage, supported by the Gorillaz live band. British rapper Little Simz will join most dates, while Deltron 3030 will appear at all shows. The tour also includes a headline appearance at the Shaky Knees festival.
The Gorillaz live experience has been praised by Rolling Stone as “an overwhelming pop spectacle, with Damon Albarn’s steady presence to keep the audience focused.” Over 25 years, the band has delivered hits including “Feel Good Inc.,” “Clint Eastwood,” “On Melancholy Hill,” “DARE,” and “Stylo.”
Tickets go on general sale Monday, March 9, at 10 a.m. local time at gorillaz.com/tour. Presale opportunities begin March 4 for KONG Card members and Citi cardholders, with an artist presale through Ticketmaster scheduled for March 6.
