BTS announced its return with a new full-length album set for release March 20, marking a major new chapter for the global supergroup and setting the stage for a long-awaited world tour.

The album, the group’s fifth studio release, will arrive at midnight ET and features 14 tracks shaped by the members’ personal reflections and shared creative direction. BTS worked on the project throughout the second half of 2025, weaving individual perspectives into what the group has described as a defining statement of who they are today.

In addition to the album, BTS confirmed plans for a world tour in support of the release. Full details, including dates and venues, will be announced Jan. 14 at midnight KST. The tour will be the group’s first large-scale global outing in nearly four years, following the conclusion of “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage” in Las Vegas in April 2022.

The announcement was preceded by handwritten letters sent directly to members of ARMY, the group’s official fan base, around the world. Written individually by each member, the letters expressed gratitude to fans who have supported the group over the years. The letters were sent to fans with active memberships on the Weverse platform, with digital versions to be made available to all fans on Weverse later this month.

Anticipation intensified further on Jan. 1, when BTS reset its official Instagram account at midnight, prompting widespread speculation and an immediate surge of trending hashtags across social media platforms in multiple countries.

As part of the comeback, BTS also launched a new official website, 2026bts.com, where additional information about the album and upcoming tour will be released.

With a new album and a world tour on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for BTS, signaling a return to the global stage that fans and industry observers alike are already calling one of the most anticipated comebacks in recent pop music history.
