Musician Greg Freeman has announced the upcoming release of his third full-length album, All Set The Bone, scheduled to arrive on October 2 through Transgressive and Canvasback. The announcement is accompanied by a new music video for the lead single, “Indu.”
The 70-minute, four-sided album was produced by John Congleton in a Hollywood studio. The project follows Freeman’s previous record, Burnover, which earned critical recognition on annual best-of lists and publication charts.
Freeman wrote and recorded the material after relocating from his home in Burlington to the Southwest, marking his transition into full-time music following work as a cemetery landscaper and line cook. The songs examine personal changes, grief, and historical themes across various character perspectives.
The album features contributions from longtime collaborators Garrett Linck and Sam Atallah alongside guest musicians, including Joey Sullivan of Florry, Carney Hemler of The Rockin Worms, Anna McClellan, and Trinity Ace. Track titles on the project include the opening song “Cahokia” and “Decade.”
All Set The Bone incorporates a wide variety of musical elements, including guitar arrangements, piano riffs, brass instrumentation, and frequent key changes. Pre-orders for the physical and digital release are available ahead of its October street date.
